Villa Valier is a 16th-century building overlooking the Naviglio del Brenta canal, featuring allegorical and landscape frescoes painted between the 16th and 18th centuries.

It includes the oratory, also dating from the 16th century and complete with its furnishings, the striking spiral staircase entirely covered in frescoes, and a large 18th-century barchessa with a cellar and granaries. The villa is set within a park featuring centuries-old trees, among which a wonderful avenue of linden trees stands out.

The area where it is located, known as “La chitarra,” owes its name to Zelotti’s fresco at Villa Valier, which depicted a woman playing the guitar.

The Valier family included two Doges of the Venetian Republic - Bertuccio and Silvestro, father and son - and the villa, which until the 19th century featured a majestic facade overlooking the Brenta Canal and a grand ballroom, served as a venue for official celebrations and sumptuous receptions.
