The “Treviso in Colors” tour, organized and led by IAT Treviso Centro (guide: Chiara), offered the opportunity to explore the city and its multifaceted character from entirely new perspectives.
Just as a painting reveals itself only through its details, so too does the city of Treviso reveal itself only to those who immerse themselves in the authentic vitality of its historic center: it is within these ancient walls that color takes on substance in the smiles of those strolling the streets and in the infectious cheerfulness of the taverns. Here, conviviality, celebrated “from one shade to the next,” speaks of a joy that has been handed down for centuries, honoring the ancient title of “capital of the joyful and loving Marca.”
But the real magic happens when you look up: historically known as the “painted city,” Treviso’s buildings form an open-air art book. The frescoed facades and the decorations adorning the arcades are not mere ornaments, but stories of art and life just waiting to be rediscovered.
